Welcome

David A. Behrman, DMD
Associate Professor of Surgery (Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery)
Weill Cornell Medical College
Chief, Division of Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery
NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital
Weill Cornell Medical Center

With nine full-time faculty members and some 40 voluntary faculty, the Division of Dentistry, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, is a major academic program providing care that ranges from general dentistry to advanced surgical restorative and reconstructive procedures. The Division also offers two programs that are among only a few in the New York region: a dedicated children's dentistry facility and a dental center specializing in the care of patients with HIV disease.

Our postgraduate programs in General Dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery – which include a general practice residency and a six-year MD-integrated oral and maxillofacial surgery program – are among the more sought after in the country. Each year we receive a selection of high-quality residency candidates interested in training with our broad-based programs.

As the demand for our dental care programs continues to grow, we are pleased to report that we have completed a major renovation that has resulted in an expanded, state-of-the-art, 4,000-square-foot facility that can better serve our patients, provide a more comfortable environment, and enhance our residency education and training experience.
