Jay Monahan Center for Gastrointestinal Health

The Jay Monahan Center for Gastrointestinal Health of NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital and Weill Medical College of Cornell University is a unique model of integrated care, focusing on prevention, screening, treatment, support, research, and education for individuals who have or are at risk for developing gastrointestinal cancers, including pancreatic, gastric and colorectal cancers. The Center provides multidisciplinary care for patients afflicted with these serious diseases under one roof with the participation of surgeons, oncologists, radiation therapists and critical adjunct personnel, such as genetic counselors, nutritionists and social workers. A full range of specialists collaborate during weekly working conferences to develop individualized treatment options and recommend and implement an optimal therapeutic plan. The Center also offers a range of health education programs and resources for patients and their families, as well as the public and health professionals.
