Cancer Research
The Department of Surgery represents the breadth of expertise in cancer research at Weill Cornell, including investigators focused on basic mechanisms and clinical outcomes. There are major strengths in leukemia as well as solid tumors (breast, gonadal, thyroid), focused on tumor-promoting genetic modifications, as well as the environmental niche that supports tumor growth and metastasis.
