Vascular Biology
The faculty at Weill Cornell has a long history of excellence in the field of vascular biology and this tradition continues in the Department of Surgery. Research is focused on the role of the vasculature as a niche for stem cells and cancer stem cells, the role of the vasculature in wound healing, the close relationship of vascular and hematopoietic progenitors, and the developmental programs that modulate endothelial cell differentiation and function.
