Welcome to the Weill Cornell Breast Center. Our first priority is, of course, treating the patient's breast cancer. In doing so, it is vitally important to provide the comprehensive care that can restore the highest quality of life after treatment. We believe the key to achieving the best outcomes for our patients is close communication among all the physicians and health professionals involved in their care.

Our expert team of breast surgeons, medical and radiation oncologists, plastic surgeons who specialize in breast reconstruction, and radiologists and pathologists work very closely together to accomplish this goal. This multidisciplinary approach enables patients to see the appropriate doctors under one roof, on the same day, and even at the same time, if necessary.

In 2011, the Weill Cornell Breast Center's outstanding quality of care and positive patient outcomes have earned the Center the distinction of being named an accredited Breast Center by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC) , a national consortium of professional organizations dedicated to the improvement of the quality of care for breast cancer patients. The Weill Cornell Breast Center is one of only two NAPBC-accreditated breast centers in New York City. Dr. Rache Simmons, professor of surgery and a nationally-recognized breast cancer expert, led the NAPBC-accreditation process for the Weill Cornell Breast Center.
