Our comprehensive program provides long-term solutions for people who continually struggle with their weight. Here, patients find counseling, medical obesity screening, surgery, if indicated, and extensive follow-up by an expert team of board-certified bariatric surgeons, advanced nurse practitioners, physician's assistants, and registered dietitians. We also offer support group meetings for anyone considering surgery, those who have had surgery, or for the patient's family members or friends.

The Bariatric Surgery Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center was awarded the highest possible designation (Level 1A) in recognition of our surgeons unique ability to offer patients the best care available. Level 1A bariatric surgery centers, the highest of five designated levels, are defined by the American College of Surgeons as providing complete specialized care for all patients, including those with the most challenging and complex conditions, in order to ensure the best outcomes. Additionally, the centers' highly credentialed bariatric surgeons handle a high volume of cases at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center.
Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions or for additional information. We are readily available to assist you as you consider whether weight loss surgery is appropriate for you.
